Making work better

Making work better involves improvements right along the spectrum from basic labour standards to employee engagement for high performance. We do this by:

• Helping employers and unions improve standards and workplace ethics.
• Facilitating dialogue to improve job satisfaction and productivity.
• Supporting strategic development and change management.

Here are some example projects:

• In Tanzania, we supported restructuring of the state-owned insurance company through workforce consultation and advice to government. More
• We are working with the International Transport Workers’ Federation to promote Quality Public Transport through improving urban passenger service jobs. More
• The International Labour Organisation commissioned us to study how social dialogue could improve energy services to consumers. More
• Global unions linking 50 million workers in the metal, chemical and energy sectors worked with us to shape their campaigns against 'precarious' employment. More
