Improving public services
Improving public services means involving workers and users to increase economic and social value. We do that by helping clients and partners to:
- organise workforce involvement to improve productivity and quality
- involve community and civil society organisations in governance
- develop learning organisations for sustainable change.
Here are some example projects:
- As part of a DFID project we worked with South Africa's dockers to identify how to improve jobs and producivity in the country's ports. More
- For the New Zealand government we did a study of how to improve public service productivity through workplace democracy. More
- OxfamGB commissioned us to analyse public management in the poorest countries, with national case studies of education and health care. More
- The World Bank commissioned us to study how to improve public service outcomes by invovling both workforces and community-based organisations. More
